Avocado Egg Rolls
Summer is just around the corner which means it’s avocado season!
And there’s no better way to enjoy their fresh, buttery flavor than rolled up in a wonton wrapper and fried — like in these avocado egg rolls.
Not only are Cheesecake Factory appetizers amazing (including sweet corn tamale cakes, fried mac and cheese bites, and that warm brown bread!), but their meals are phenomenal too.
Enjoy our homemade versions of their Chicken Madeira or Jambalaya Pasta, then finish up your meal with a slice of cheesecake!
Tips for Making Avocado Egg Rolls like Cheesecake Factory
- Buy avocados a few days in advance.
It’s rare to find perfectly ripe avocados at the store, so you’ll need to plan ahead before making this recipe for Cheesecake Factory avocado egg rolls.
You can also ripen them faster by placing them in a paper bag with a banana! The stem of the banana emits a gas that helps ripen produce faster.
- Make the dipping sauce first.
Avocado egg rolls from Cheesecake Factory are best eaten shortly after they are fried, so you want to have the sauce ready to go.
You can even make it a day in advance if needed! Keep it in an airtight container in the fridge, then stir well before serving.
- Deep fry avocado egg rolls.
Fill a deep halfway with oil and heat to 350°F.
You’ll want to use a candy thermometer for accuracy — the egg rolls will burn if it’s too hot, but too cold, and they’ll soak up the oil instead.
Work in batches, letting the oil come back to temperature between each. Fry for about a minute on each side until golden, then drain on a wire rack before serving.
How to Fold Avocado Egg Rolls
First, dip your finger in the beaten egg and brush it along the edges of the wrapper.
Place 1/4 cup of the avocado mixture horizontally in the center of the wrapper, reaching from corner to corner (see image above as an example).
Then, fold in the corners next to the filling and press down around the filling.
Fold the bottom corner up and press over the filling so it is snugly inside the wrapper. Then, roll up to the top corner and press to seal.
Now, your Cheesecake Factory avocado egg rolls are ready to fry!
Kitchen Tools You Will Need
- Tongs – You’ll want to use tongs to move the egg rolls in and out of the hot oil.
- Food Processor – I love using my food processor for making sauces, dips, salsa… You can use a blender if you don’t have a food processor.
- 4-quart Stock Pot – Great for soups, roasts, frying, cooking pasta… I use this all the time!
Cheesecake Factory Avocado Eggrolls FAQ
Serve them with Chipotle Ranch dipping sauce, a delicious blend of cool and creamy flavors with a Southwestern kick. Homemade Cheesecake Factory avocado eggrolls would also be delicious with regular ranch dressing, sour cream, and guacamole, or even Green Goddess dressing!
No, they are not. The wonton wrapper is made with eggs and milk, and the oil used for frying may have cross-contamination issues. Because our copycat recipe uses egg wash, it isn’t vegan either. However, you can convert it by using vegan wonton wrappers and swap in egg replacement if you’d like!
In the air fryer! This method will make leftover Cheesecake Factory avocado egg rolls hot and crispy again in minutes. Preheat your air fryer to 320°F for about 2 minutes, then place eggrolls in the basket. Cook for 3 to 5 minutes, flipping halfway, until warmed through. And be sure to store your leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge. For best results, finish them up within 2 to 3 days.
Enjoy!

Do you think these would work in an air fryer?
They definitely work in the airfryer, just spray them with oil on all sides and cook on about 350-375 until they are golden brown all sides. You will need to turn them a couple of times so they will cook evenly.
I wish there was any easier way to save and print your recipes! I love your blog but it's not very user friendly compared to others. Maybe I'm just missing a printer link amongst all the stuff.
I also love your recipes but don't often use them as you don't seem to have a printer friendly button….am I missing it ??
Tried these in the air fryer and they came out PERFECT! I don’t like cooking on the stove with oil so thought I would try the air fryer, it is my new best friend LOL
