Roll the prepared mac and cheese into large 2-inch balls and place them in the freezer to set and firm up.
Next, dredge each mac and cheese ball into a seasoned flour mixture, then dip into beaten egg and coat with the panko breadcrumbs.
Place the mac and cheese balls back into the freezer for 30 minutes. Then fry them in batches until golden brown and crispy.
Garnish with fresh parsley and shredded Parmesan cheese and serve hot with marinara sauce for dipping.
