Easy Air Fryer French Toast (10 Minute Recipe)
Ingredients
- 6 slices bread, 3/4 inch thick (See Notes)
- 4 large eggs
- 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Instructions
- Line air fryer basket with parchment paper liner. Preheat the air fryer to 370°F.
- To a medium-size mixing bowl, add eggs, cream, milk, vanilla, and spices; whisk well to combine.
- Pour egg mixture into a shallow pie plate or baking dish. One at a time, dredge each slice of bread in egg mixture, flipping over to coat both sides.
- Arrange soaked bread slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket (You may need to cook them in batches).
- Cook for 7 minutes, flipping each slice over halfway through cook time. Repeat with remaining bread slices if you are cooking in batches.
- Serve warm with desired toppings (butter, syrup, fresh berries, etc.).
Donna's Notes
You do not have to line your air fryer with parchment, but it helps with clean-up.
Bread: Any type of bread will work, but for best results, use a hearty bread like Italian, sourdough, brioche, or Texas toast.
Cook Time: The total cook time for 6 slices of French will vary depending on the size of the air fryer basket. The cook time for each batch is 7 minutes.
